BMW M4 Special Edition GTRS4 With Vorsteiner Review Specs, Design and Release

2015 BMW M4 Special Edition GTRS4 With Vorsteiner

2015 BMW M4 see a lot of love at SEMA this year, and for good reason. Specifically Germany has all the roots of the right to make enough cars tuner for them dare mess with something so good out of the box, such as the twin-turbocharged, 3.0-liter, inline-six motor putting out 425 horsepower healthy through a gearbox six-speed manual (do not forget the optional seven-speed dual-clutch automatic for those who fear more than two pedals). Then there is the suspension, which is directed with clear intention to use paths over previous models, with a "free play" ball joints and elastomeric bearings, CFRP strut-tower brace, and the rear axle are bolted directly to the rear subframe. The result is a car that just begs for apexes.

LA-based designer body kit Vorsteiner, which resulted in cuts aero aftermarket and wheels for imports of high-end like Porsche, Ferrari and Bentley, celebrating 10 years of business, and as a gift for himself and those who enjoy a full carbon-composite, Bimmers widebody , it creates M4 that lays before you. With a focus on mixing the organic display with functional performance, the design process begins at the beginning of the year, culminating with his debut in Vegas in October 2014.

After completing the overall design, the 3D scan Vorsteiner stock coupe, then overlay rendering to generate CNC rapid prototypes to assist in the development. The result, as you can clearly see, is quite amazing. Line pays homage to the legacy of BMW racing touring cars, but still things in the field of road use. Oh, and did I mention that it's a full carbon composite?

BMW M4 Special Edition GTRS4 With Vorsteiner

Vorsteiner claim the new fenders add two inches wide per side of the front and three-and-a-half inch per side rear big enough, but not really crazy compared to some other cars lurking around SEMA. Fender also incorporate functional cooling ducts for the brakes, a feature often overlooked on a custom wide-body kit. Complementing the new corner is the upgraded front bumper with integrated splitter, aero blade side element, and a new rear bumper with integrated rear diffuser. All made of lightweight carbon fiber and coated in Austin Yellow Metallic paint factory BMW.

Taking advantage of the extra real estate under the fender, we find a custom three-piece forged wheels are designed in-house and measure in at 20 inches in diameter, with a width of 10.5 inches in front and 13.5 inches in the rear. The cherry on top is at the rear, which features quad rod chrome badging and the custom-finish 90 mm (3.5 inch) exhaust tips.
Inland

Inside, you'll find the stock setup is largely untouched, with the exception of the floor and trunk mat set Vorsteiner-embroidery. Everything else, such as excessive M badging, racing-inspired seats, and a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, all retained. While I would like to see more, it's not a big deal. I love the interior M4 only.

Drivetrain and suspension of BMW M4 Special Edition GTRS4 With Vorsteiner

Upgrade drivetrain is also light enough, at least compared with the modifications made to the exterior, as the only mod increased impetus through ESS Tuning E-Tronic ECU retune. This retune increase output to an impressive 550 horsepower and 560 pound-feet of torque, all without tacking or additional adjustments.

KW Suspension Lowering the attitude is that the arm kit, which retains BMW's Dynamic Drive features, such as active roll control and adjustable stiffness settings. Those larger wheels also accommodates a large tires, the rubber Pirelli P Nero width is 275 mm wide at the front and 345 mm at the rear.

Price BMW M4 Special Edition GTRS4 With Vorsteiner

Starting at $ 64,200, this luxury imports will only be pricier as selection list is filled. But beyond the extra BMW, who are looking for their own carbon M4 body width of Vorsteiner should consider tacking on about $ 25,000 for just the raw bumper and fender. Then there paint, interior and trunk floor mat sets, wheels, tires, suspension and engine upgrades ... and you probably see your car costs more than $ 100,000.

Wide-body kit everywhere at SEMA, but this one looks done. The fact that the carbon fiber to make it better. Drivetrain and suspension upgrades are more or less an afterthought, but that's okay; we understand this is a car that is all about making his presence known on the show floor, and it is the style and tranquility. If you like the M4, but want something unique to throw six figures, this might be a winner for you. Just avoid the low entry; Carbon fiber is not exactly soft.

Press Release BMW M4 Special Edition GTRS4 With Vorsteiner

Vorsteiner celebrate our 10 year anniversary this year and to mark this occasion we have developed a very special edition vehicle limited, code named GTRS4 debuted at the 2014 SEMA Show. The GTRS4 is carbon composite lightweight full wide body conversion is based on a 2015 BMW M4 Coupe. Design and development GTRS4 started earlier this year because there is a lot of time testing and modeling is in progress.

Design Icon:
This idea was first conceived on a blank sheet of paper where our designers take into consideration the previous editions of the body such as the extensive history GTRS3 based E92 M3, shows lineage on both Vorsteiner language of design, functionality and performance.

Our designers focusing create an organic design with original body lines of the car while maintaining full functionality and everyday drivability of the vehicle. It is not enough just to create the widest possible fender as it is also determined by the ability to change the wheel while under load at high or low speeds.

We also want to make sure the design pays tribute to M3 racing heritage and ancestry retaining Vorsteiner minimalist concept,

The beginning of a legend:
Once the design has been sketched on paper and finished in our 3D body scan using the factory Blue Light Laser Technology. With 3D rendering, our new digital emerging body panels and create CNC rapid prototypes to fit on the vehicle.

The most important step is the rear quarter panel as it is very important to create a perfect contour. In order to effectively create, customize and improve the shape of this, traditional clay in-house master craftsmen used to achieve a smooth and fluid proportions.

Following shape Function:
Of the original launch of the process of development, design and engineering teams we are working together to ensure the wider fenders and wheel are functional. We made strategic air ducts for optimal cooling of the front brakes, taking into account the aerodynamic vents for air entry to exit.

Front fender has a total span of 4 inches while the rear quarter panel sits 7 inches wider than the original form. We have specially designed 3-Piece Forged wheels in 20x10.5J and 20x13.5J each to fit the 275 and 345 wide tires.

The vehicle is also equipped with a signature P Nero Pirelli tires for optimum traction and performance. To add attitude, we have a KW Suspension GTRS4 the arm kit that allows for height adjustment as well as keeping the original features of BMW Dynamic Drive. Adding performance, simplicity, and flexibility, GTRS4 upgraded using ESS Tuning E-Tronic to an impressive 550hp to the crank.
